Rewards. Can I pledge for more than one reward level?

Unfortunately, Kickstarter doesn’t allow pledges for more than one reward. However if you want multiple items, simply add the cost of the extra item to your pledge. After the campaign finishes, we will send out a survey where you can confirm your extra items.

Rewards. How can I add more items to my pledge? There’s no Add-on option?

You won’t be able to choose the add-ons at this stage.

But after choosing a reward level, check the Add-on Menu in the project description for the prices, and find the items(s) you want to add. Simply increase your reward by the amount including the add-on(s).

For example, if you’d like to add an Extra Orbitkey Tracker ($29) to your Kickstarter Special Orbitkey Nest x1 ($89), follow these steps:

Select the $89 Kickstarter Special | Orbitkey Nest reward Adjust your pledge by $29. Total pledge = $118 Shipping is ONE flat fee of $11 or $15 depending on your location.

And at the end of the campaign, we will send every backer a survey. In this survey, you will be able to select and confirm the add-on(s) for your reward. You will also have the chance to add extra items that are not in the Add-On Menu.

Product. Do you need a cable attached to the Nest to use the wireless charger or does it have a battery?

Yes. Orbitkey Nest comes with an in-built wireless charging pad, but it needs to be powered externally. For the wireless charger to work you need to connect it to your closest power source, be it your monitor, laptop, wall-socket, and even to a power bank.

Rewards. I want to add an Orbitkey product, but it’s not in the Add-On Menu.

You don’t have to do anything other than choose a reward for now. At the end of the campaign, we will send every backer a survey where you will be able to add on any additional Orbitkey product(s) you want that is not available on the Add-On menu. Our other Orbitkey products can be found on orbitkey.com

Product. Is the whole lid a wireless charger?

Orbitkey Nest comes with a single coil charging pad and it will charge any compatible devices placed on the raised surface on the left hand side. The remaining surface on the lid can be used to nest your frequently accessed items throughout your day.

Product. What’s the dimension of Nest?

The external dimension of Nest is 240 x 120 x 41mm / 9.5 x 4.7 x 1.6inch. The internal dimension is 229 x 109 x 30mm / 9 x 4.2 x 1 inch. An illustration can be found under Section 8 - Specifications on the campaign page.

Product. What is the tray (inside and outside) made out of?

The core / frame of the tray is made of the same material as the lid, which is Polycarbonate to give the rigidity and also shock resistance.

In the base tray, this rigid material is paired with durable yet beautiful Nylon-blend fabric exterior, making Orbitkey Nest blend into any surface it’s placed on and also more comfortable to carry in your hand.

As for the top surface of the lid, we have added a touch of luxury. Natural top-grain leather adds a soft finish for your phone to rest on.

Product. What is the maximum height of the item you can carry in Nest?

To ensure that Nest works well, our maximum suggested height of the item is 28mm / 1.1 inch. An illustration can be found under Section 8 - Specifications on the campaign page.

Product. How many cards can I carry in Orbitkey Nest?

Depending on the thickness of your card, you can carry up to 4 cards in your Orbitkey Nest comfortably. There is also an elastic pouch section where you may place more additional cards if needed. There’s also 2 slots for your SD cards.

Product. Will there be more colours?

We’re always open to adding more colours! Although, adding other colour options does become tricky with our manufacturing, and inventory management side of things. We’ll consider introducing colours as the campaign progresses.

Shipping. When will I receive my stuff?

We aim to have manufacturing completed in April 2020, and send stock to our fulfilment centres (Melbourne, Utah, and Hong Kong). We plan to start shipping rewards in June 2020. We will keep all of our backers updated and be completely transparent with progress.

Australia: All Australian orders will be shipped directly from our office in Melbourne via Australia Post.

United States: All United States orders will be shipped from our fulfilment centre in Utah. All orders will be shipped with tracking

International: Orders outside of Australia and the United States will be sent from our Hong Kong fulfilment centre. All orders will be shipped with tracking.

Shipping. How much is shipping?

Shipping is a standard flat fee of $11 for Australia and the United States and $15 for the rest of the world for 1 Nest. Each additional Nest is an extra flat rate of $6 for shipping. There is no added shipping fee for any additional item you add to your reward.

The item is more of a gift to you as a sign of our appreciation to you for supporting our campaign and business. If the item(s) you received is faulty, we are more than happy to send a replacement item/part, and we do have a two year warranty on all our products.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
